Key targets include growing the value of the EU data economy from €301 billion in 2018 to €829 billion by 2025, and increasing the number of data professionals from 5.7 million to 10.9 million over the same period.
The strategy also commits €4–6 billion in investment toward common European data spaces and a federated cloud infrastructure — creating the conditions for the Data Act and related regulations to take effect.
